Grand Lake Open Water Fishing Contest - 10am -6pm (Sat) - 7am-1pm (Sun)
$6,500 is up for grabs in Grand Lake's Open Water Fishing Tournament. Forty, 2 man teams will compete for the cash on June 1 and 2.
A combined weight of four (4) Rainbow Trout and/or Brown Trout will be measured, each day, to determine the winners.
Lake trout will not be measured. The total weight of eight Rainbow and/or Brown Trout will be accumulated by the event officials
with teams walking away with a hefty prize.
First Place: $5,000
Second Place: $1,000
Third Place: $500
Registration begins on May 1 and will continue until May 24
or until all forty teams are paid and registered; whichever comes first.
Registration is $300 per 2 man team.

Grand Lake Hosts Rocky Mountain Field Seminars in 2013


For a complete catalog of Field Seminars log on to the Rocky Mountain Nature Association web site at www.rmna.org and click on "field seminars".

The field seminar program began in Estes Park, CO. in 1962 with Rocky Mountain National Park serving as a college on the crest of the continent. Indoor lectures compliment outdoor field trips led by some on the finest instructors available in their fields of expertise.
 
Classes are organized around natural history, cultural history, and the arts providing educational experiences for participants at many levels. Academic credit is available for all seminars, however many participants come just for the enrichment, knowledge, and enthusiasm of being involved in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Seminars will commence from the Kawuneeche Visitor Center, RMNP and various locations around Grand Lake from June to October.
